We asked the New York State Craft Beer Competition winners at Thin Man if they had anything dope for us. And head brewer Robert “Rudybob” Watkins humbly bragged: “well, our boysenberry-boosted Twilight Sparkle is probably the best Sour we’ve ever made.”

Apparently, they crossed Niagara Falls to join forces with Bellwoods, the Toronto tart fruit specialist rated among the Top 20 Breweries in all of Canada! 

Canadians love their berries, but if you’ve never tried a boysenberry, you need to ASAP. Imagine a tangier version of a blueberry, crossed with a blackberry and a raspberry — bursting over the tongue with jammy filling as you bite in! 

Twilight Sparkle is packed with the stuff! But this dynamite craft duo didn’t stop there. They magnify the berry blast with orange-mango madness from a dry-hopping of Galaxy and Citra Hops! I don’t recommend trying to swim across Niagara Falls, but that’s the fruit flood of flavors you’ll experience in today’s Sour. 

Now, Thin Man is new to Tavour, but they’ve been dominating the craft scene in upstate New York since opening in 2016. 

In fact, they’re so popular with locals, they had to open a third taproom — and they still can’t make enough to quell the thirst of the beer nerds in Buffalo. So, don’t think for a minute that you’ll find this beer anywhere else outside of NY.
