About This Beer

The crew at Fair State teamed up with Schell’s Brewing Company (a union brewery since the 1930s) to craft this absolute banger of a crispy boi back in 2020 in celebration of becoming the first unionized microbrewery in the United States. And it’s been wowing craft fans ever since!

Tasting Notes

A bready backbone courses from start to finish, joining forces with a complex hoppy florality for a sip reminiscent of the gold Lagers of Dortmund, Germany. And it all culminates in a refreshing finish that’s really gonna hit the spot after a long day.

Very good, I’m a big fan of lagers. This would go well with sausage and cheese. Compared to other German lagers, it’s not amazing. But it’s very good.

Nice crispness, nice tangle bitterness, hint of sweetness that shows the malt backbone that has a lot more flavor then expected on a light beer. Right kind of noble hops. Laces nice and has a beautiful head. Well balanced. Really good beer. If I would have made it I would be very proud of it. Love it!

I lived in Berlin for five years. I truly miss the Pilsners, Hefeweizens, and Lagers. This is AS GOOD as anything I tasted in Europe.
