About This Beer
The Chicago dark beer masters started with a rich base aged in bourbon barrels, imbuing the brew with silky vanilla oak tones. Then they amped up the custard notes with hand-split vanilla beans.
Tasting Notes
Sophisticated cocoa aromas permeate the air with each pitch black pour. Take a sip, and tumble into decadent depths of crème brûlée, fudgy dark chocolate, and whiskey caramel. Hints of cream carry on the end, further obscuring the 13.5% ABV.

Was excited to try this but to me it missed. I didn’t get a drop of vanilla taste. For me, it was a very heavy dark beer and it tasted as that, no notes or hints of sweetness.

Medium-full body, low carbonation. Tastes of chocolate and vanilla that coalesce into a nice ice cream character with hints of coffee and oak on the back end. A bit sweet but very good.
