A Note on This Beer
Every sip of Very Varied bounces from flavors of fresh-squeezed OJ to ripe peach to berry jam. It dances across your taste buds like a hungry monkey running rampant through the grocery store produce section.
To create it, the brewers at Bearded Iris use four of their favorite hops — Nelson, Cashmere, Citra, and Mosaic. Then, they shake things up by fermenting with a rarely-seen strain of yeast from the UK!
This unusual yeast makes for a super soft body, while also creating multi-faceted fruit flavors that shift around like a tasty tropical kaleidoscope. One second the beer melts like a spoonful of mango sorbet. The next, it pops like pineapple fireworks!
It might seem strange for such a unique Imperial IPA to come out of Tennessee — the state isn’t exactly known as a mecca for hazeheads. But, as Paste Mag points out, the crew at Bearded Iris “is single-handedly changing that thought process.”
The folks at Craft Beer & Brewing are just as smitten. “What stands out about their beers is the nuance that each offers… The beers here aren’t one dimensional.”
You can say that again!
Bearded Iris is a Craft Beer & Brewing Breakout Brewer!
