About This Beer
To make this stunner, the team fortified an Abbey-style Golden Ale with a long snooze in Colorado whiskey barrels, adding nuances of golden raisin and decadent crème brûlée to its rich tones. Bready malts swirl with subtle flavors of banana and clove, courtesy of the Belgian yeast and candi sugar.
Tasting Notes
In the hands of a lesser brewery, Last Guardian’s sky-high 18.94% ABV would be all burn. But with River North at the helm, this malty beer is like warm, liquid toffee.

The rare 5-star brew. This is River North operating at the heights of their powers. Massive barrel notes. Awesome warming feeling. Just an incredible beer experience.
