A Note on This Beer
Back in 2018, the uber-geeks at Vinepair tasted their way through dozens of tart and salty Goses, looking for the very best American craft beers of the style.
And today’s W4 Dry-Hopped Gose from Transmitter Brewing landed in the Top 5!
It’s only gotten better since then, at least according to fans like @Luke J. who says, “re-checking this one. Much better than I earlier rated — this is fantastic!”
He’s not alone. @Jeff S. calls it “super drinkable. I loved every minute of this!” While @Jim M. says it has “the perfect amount of tartness and citrus.”
Open this can, and you’ll be greeted by aromas of real sea salt and a burst of citrus flavor from Motueka Hops. Take a sip, and it begins tart, but complex minerality and notes of coriander quickly balance things out. The finish is dry with a touch of lingering saltiness that practically begs for another sip.
If you’re a fan of the Gose style, you’re probably not even reading this — you already mashed that ‘Get It’ button. If you’re not familiar with Gose, now is your chance to snag a world class example and find out what this classic brew is all about.
*W4 came in at #5 in Vinepair’s Best American Gose-style Ales.
