About This Beer
The Mikerphone crew started with a rich Imperial Stout base aged 28 months in an Elijah Craig Kentucky straight bourbon barrel. They blended it with an Imperial Stout aged 26 months in a George Dickel whisky barrel before mixing in an Imperial Milk Stout aged 22 months in a MGPI bourbon barrel.
Tasting Notes
All that time on oak makes for a sumptuous sip brimming with bourbon caramel, vanilla tones, and woody spice. Nuances of chocolate covered raisins and sticky dates swirl throughout, with hints of brown sugar rising on a tannic finish — all hiding a 14.06% ABV.
