Today’s beer is a delicious contradiction, unlike anything you’ve tried before. What makes it so unusual? Check this out:

It tastes hoppy, but it’s not hoppy. To create the aptly named We Don’t Need No Stinking Hops, the brewers used a tiny bit of Citra Hops, and a whole lot of tangerine purée, citrus peel, and Kveik yeast. 

Those tangy additions combine with the super fruity yeast to create all the citrusy, hazy hop flavors, while using barely any actual hops! So, it tastes like a juicy IPA, with bold notes of tropical fruit and plenty of pith on the finish, but it’s smoother, brighter, and fruitier. It’s a brand new take on the style, and it has to be tasted to be believed. 

Leave it to the brewers at Boneyard and Gigantic to completely turn the IPA game on its head. 

Boneyard has long been hailed as one of the best IPA producers in craft-soaked Bend, Oregon — they’ve even been inducted into Sip Magazine’s Beer Hall of Fame for their hop prowess. So, when they teamed up with the multi-time Oregon Beer Award-winners at Gigantic, we knew they were going to come up with something special.
