A Note on This Beer

Tropical Fruit Explosion: Each sip of this smooth and effervescent IPA will tickle your tastebuds with a burst of clementine sweetness. Heaps of Hops: The brewers added Mosaic, Citra, and Sultana Hops to the whirlpool, then dry-hopped with a blend of Strata, El Dorado, and Sambo for thirst quenching stone fruit flavors and a pithy, resinous finish.

I always get excited about a brew this juicy — especially when it's packed with this much hops!

But, a few years ago, I wouldn’t have predicted a tropical hopbomb like this would come from the heart of the Great Plains. Now, I know better — Nebraska’s Kros Strain is a force to be reckoned with!

Seriously, these brewers have the tenacity of scientists in a lab — they constantly tweak and perfect their recipes to develop unique concoctions. Web of Lies (Batch 4) is no exception.

It’s this passion for perfection that’s earned Kros Strain medals in the Juicy/Hazy IPA categories at both the 2019 U.S. Open Beer Championship and the 2018 GABF.

Luckily, you don’t need to plan a road trip to the Cornhusker State for a taste of this refreshing hop juice, cuz it’s just a click away. Slide on your Ray-Bans, get cozy on the back porch, and crack open a can of this dank deliciousness.

Usually when I hear Imperial IPA, the first thing I think is, bitter, overpowering hoppiness. But this beer broke that expectation. Hoppy, yes definitely. But, not overpowering. It has an unexpected sweetness to it. Floraly, citrusy, that familar pine, on the nose and tongue, but deliciously sweet on the aftertaste that kind of lingers on the back of your tongue..... Great to drink fresh out of the freezer with that nice chill to it. Fantastic work from this brewery.

Good, bitter and pretty easy to drink double IPA. It's thick and wheaty, but not too bitter or not too floral.
