About This Beer
Wendigo is the top rated Barleywine in the world on Untappd. It’s ridiculously popular Omnipolloscope Barleywine base is only more elevated from a year spent in highly revered Heaven Hill and Woodford Reserve Bourbon barrels. There’s world class Barleywine, there’s top end Bourbon barrels, there’s the master crafters at Anchorage Brewing. At the center of the Venn diagram, sits Wendigo. ‘Nuff said.
Tasting Notes
Each near-still pour erupts with aromas of deep, complex cacao, oak, and roasted toffee. Bring it up to your lips, and mighty plum and fudge flavors gush onto the palate with brown sugar and sarsaparilla lingering on the back of the tongue. The finish goes on as long as the night, emanating tinges of bourbon-soaked vanilla bean and caramel.

Black like midnight, and thick as hell. Toffee, chocolate, slight vanilla and plum flavors all work together really well. Pretty awesome

This game sucks, so let's get F'd up. This big, thick, sticky BW is complex with subtle notes of cinnamon, caramel and some boozie brown sugar and chocolate.

Holy crap, this is incredible. So thick and rich. Definitely sweet, but not an overly lingering, sappy sweet. Balanced. Caramel, rich bourbon and a hint of coconut that was so tasty. Love this beer

Good mother of god this is fire! Nose was big time sweet bourbon, toffee, vanilla, tobacco, caramel and subtle coconut. Taste matched but with some graham cracker notes. Full body with a slick and viscous feel. Long finish. Warms the belly, amazing BA barelywine.
