A Note on This Beer
Share today’s aptly named White Stout with friends, but don’t tell them it’s a Stout — it’s a riot to watch their reactions to the robust flavors that come out of something so lightly colored!
Expertly made White Stouts are not easy to come by. We’ve only seen four in the history of Tavour! This one comes from the Midwest marvels at Zipline, a brewery that dominates Nebraska with the second highest rated Stout and 3 of the top 10 overall beers in the state on BA.
For their White Stout, Zipline uses ½ lb per barrel of whole bean roasted coffee to emulate the roasty flavors you’d find in a traditional Stout, all without using dark malts. Instead they use oats and pale chocolate malt to deliver rich chocolate flavor, without darkening the color of the beer.
The result is a bold flavored, mind-blowing sensory stimulation!
You won’t find this party-game-in-a-bottle outside of a few shops sprinkled in and around Nebraska. And since the brewery only made 260 cases, even Stout-heads in the Midwest are scrambling to find it.
With Zipline’s White Stout you can treat your buddies to a whole new beer tasting experience. Just make sure to hide the label until after they try it so they won’t know what’s coming!
*In order to keep this beer’s identity hidden until after tasting, try serving it to your friends in a standard pint glass.
