A Note on This Beer
Can you guess what I’m indulging in over here at Tavour right now?
Less than 480 bottles of What Evil Lurks [Ghost 901] made it past Adroit Theory’s bottle club members and out of Virginia — and I’m sipping on one!
It’s ooey-gooey, tastes like coffee cake dunked in bittersweet dark chocolate fudge and drizzled with caramel sauce — and honestly, it puts grandma’s dessert recipes to shame!
I’m kind of nervous about bringing a bottle home this Thanksgiving. Once my cousins, aunts, and uncles get a taste, I know someone’s going to get a little too tipsy-honest from Evil Lurks’ 13.5% ABV. And, they’re going to slip up and mention how much richer, more complex, and more delectably spiced this Imperial Stout is than grammy’s chocolate coffee cake.
Then all hell will break loose!
There will be some raised voices. Fighting words will fly. And a few feelings will get hurt.
So, to avoid any controversy beyond your typical family drama this Turkey Day, I advise you to keep this brew at home for just you and your better half to enjoy. Whatever you decide to do, never suggest that this or any dessert, beer or otherwise, can compete with grandma’s specialty!
