A Note on This Beer
When we heard the juicebomb squad at Cali’s Unsung Brewing released a new Nebuloid Hazy IPA, we knew some scientific research was needed to uncover the meaning of the name. So, we started with Urban Dictionary!
According to U.D., ‘Nebuloid’ is an adjective that means: “ridiculously amazing.”
That was clear as soon as we began the hands-on portion of our investigation and took our first sips of Nebuloid Wolf Ray Hazy IPA. The fruity blast of Nelson Hops’ white grape gummy bears, pineappley Motueka Hops, dank citrusy Cashmere, and gooseberry-boosted Citra confirms it: ridiculously amazing!
Diving into an even more scholastic source, the closest thing we could find to ‘Nebuloid’ in the Oxford dictionary is ‘Nebulous.’ This adjective means, “in the form of a cloud or haze; hazy.”
Unsung nailed it when naming this brew — drinking it is like sipping on a cloud! The brewers use a massive charge of oats to create a pillowy mouthfeel fit for the heavens.
Now, as far as the ‘Wolf Ray’ part of the beer name, we’ll leave that up to you to decode. Maybe it has something to do with being so juicy it begs to be wolfed down.
