About This Beer
To craft Wolves in the Piano, the BFS crew started with a deep, roasty Stout swirling with cocoa-y complexity. Then they fermented it with one gallon per barrel of rich Michigan maple syrup for molasses-like nuances and subtle sweetness.
Tasting Notes
It’s like an extra espresso-y dark chocolate mocha paired with cocoa covered raisins with a bit of dried cherry on the finish.

This one was really special. Ever since I’ve been turned on to goose islands bourbon county stout it’s been hard to find a beer that lives up to expectations...until now. For a barrel aged stout in a can I doubt it could get any better! Bring this one back so I can buy more!

Let this one warm up a bit. Dark and sweet with a hint of maple and bourbon. Very nice!

Could have been infected, but was extremely sweet and almost sour. No body to such a high ABV beer.

Dark & thick like it should be. Not very carbonated on the pour but didn't distract from the taste. Bourbon sweetness. Very good

If you have nothing else to compare this brew too, Compare it to Goose Island Bourbon stout. I fucking love Goose Island Bourbon stout! This was delicious and a good sipping beer on a cool Albuquerque afternoon!

Wow. Really boozy but really smooth and well balanced. Not that sweet but still good for dessert, rich and lush with a very velvety mouth feel. It would work with the right food, too, I suspect.
