About This Beer
The iconic Cincinnati crew at Listermann crafted XIII in honor of the brewery’s Anniversary. Every mouthwatering, tuxedo-black pour brims with immense depth and complexity courtesy of three of the Listermann’s most acclaimed dark brews.
The first is Scoring Discrepancies, the brewery’s GABF Gold medaled Imperial Stout loaded with peanut butter and raspberries and aged in Buffalo Trace Bourbon barrels for 20 months!
The coffee and vanilla infused Cranium is second, this edition aged in Sagamore Rye barrels for 16 months.
Listermann’s Barleywine Life rounds out the blend, bringing an immense 30 months in River Drive Rye barrels to the table.
Tasting Notes
Each impossibly smooth sip cascades with notes of creamy cocoa, earthy espresso, candied nuts, and lush fruit. A bright vanilla note accents it all before easing into whispers of woody spice and an oaky finish. The sweet, dark flavors impressively hide the bold 13% ABV.
