A Note on This Beer
Y=Syzygy shimmers a sun-kissed, hazy gold, but what really caught our attention was that Imagine Nation crowns it “one of the more refreshing IPAs” they’ve ever made!
Which is nuts, considering this is the team that brought the New England-style IPA to Montana, and is routinely praised as one of the best hop handlers in the state.
One sip, though, and whoa is Y=Syzygy super quenching! The brewers loaded up the base beer with light German Pilsner Malts and piles of oats for its rounded, fluffy body. Then, they employed the power of almost 6 lbs per barrel of Simcoe, Simcoe Cryo, Motueka, and El Dorado Hops for huge resiny aromas and Fruit Loop flavors!
Breathe deep, and tangy watermelon and orange candy aromas open up into smooth-sipping flavors of more succulent melon, bursting citrus, zingy passionfruit, and ripe stone fruit. A faint whisper of pithy bitterness follows, priming the palate for more lush, thick gulps.
As the days grow longer and sunnier, re-stocking your fridge with enough haze nectar to stay quenched should be at the top of every hop-lover’s spring to-do list. Why not start with a couple cans of the most refreshing IPA to date from the masters?
Imagine Nation donates 25% of their profits — so far they’ve donated to over 500 different organizations!
