A Note on This Beer
The Oak-Aged Sour specialists at The Rare Barrel have managed to bottle up a glimmer of weekend bliss!
It’s called Yee-Haw Fridays (2020), and they pack it with loads of real strawberries, pineapple, cherries, blood oranges, peaches, and nectarines for bright, cheerful flavors.
Then, they fuse the kaleidoscope of fresh fruit with a Golden Sour base, and age it for a whopping 9-12 months — intensifying its juicy flavor!
With each lush sip, I imagine myself wandering the local farmers market on a lazy Sunday. Every succulent taste features layer upon layer of tropical juice and berry-sweetness, rounded out with tart complexity.
Essentially, it’s a tall glass of freshly squeezed blood orange juice with a dollop of strawberry puree and a splash of nectarine nectar. With a 7.2% ABV to boot, I grab a bottle dripping with ice-cold condensation for a backyard soiree.
Whether or not it’s Friday already, with a bottle of Yee-Haw Fridays in the fridge, you can experience a little dose of weekend-relaxation anytime you want.
