Kyle, you remember that time our car broke down and we hung out in this little taproom in Idaho, drinking a beer, waiting for AAA?

We met a pretty girl in that Boise taproom and for a second you could have sworn you were gonna marry her. Van Halen’s “Dance The Night Away” played over head and we had a pint from Woodland Empire in front of us. The brew was hoppy and juicy and it was suddenly okay that our car had broken down on Route 84.

And when the car was fixed and there was no longer a reason to stay, you said goodbye to the girl and we thanked the bartender. We merged onto the highway, the Woodland Empire taproom shrinking in the rearview mirror.

But we never forgot that brew. We scoured bottle shops, and prayed it would pop up on our Tavour app. We passed through Boise a few months later and stopped in at that little taproom. The pretty girl wasn’t there, and neither was the beer -- one time release, they said. Then, right as we accepted that it was time to move on, the bartender set two beers down in front of us.

We smelled aromas of citrus and pine, tasted the Simcoe, the Ekuanot, the Idaho-7 Hops. We sipped juicy pineapple, bitter grapefruit, and woody resin as we let the 7.2% ABV wash over us. You Can Feel The Love In This Room, that’s what it was called.

It wasn’t the same one, that’s what the bartender told us. But it tasted the same - better actually! And we sat there, clinking glasses and sipping pint after pint, feeling the love in that little Boise taproom, just like we did the first time.
