Weyerbacher Brewing was founded in 1995 in a livery stable located in downtown Easton, Pennsylvania. The brewery quickly established a reputation for making big ABV, full-flavored, high-quality brews. They’re most famous for Saturday Morning Stout, a 12% ABV Coffee Stout that beer geeks playfully shortened to SMS as searches and trading requests swarmed the internet. Weyerbacher followed SMS with even more sought-after variants, including Sunday Afternoon Siesta, Sunday Morning Stout with Chocolate Vanilla and Peppermint, and Sunday Mole Stout. A Belgian-style brewery at heart, beers like Merry Monks Belgian Tripel and QUAD Belgian Quadrupel will always be Weyerbacher mainstays.
