The name Cushwa is a local reference to our Cushwa Basin landmark located on the C&O Canal. The canal features 184.5 mile long towpath now popular with locals tourists and who enjoy the recreational activities it has to offer. We’re three friends with one shared passion for creating exceptional beer, each bringing a different level of expertise and background to this wild but exciting endeavor. We aim to provide the best product possible while creating a positive impact in our community and respecting every aspect of the beer industry and our fellow brewers.
