About This Beer
The Brewery Projekt crafted this Imperial Stout by blending several batches of their base, each matured in bourbon barrels of different sizes, aged 12 to 16 months. The result is complex, full-bodied, and warming, with a 13.7% ABV.
Tasting Notes
To plunge into the obsidian depths of this elixir is to taste the time it spent in barrels, incorporating woody vanillins, boozy bourbon, and just a touch of char into its roasty base. Aromas of whiskey accent each velvety sip, drifting over cocoa, caramel, and espresso tones from the malt. And it goes out with a dry, oaky finish.

This is what a barrel aged IMP stout with no adjuncts, no lactose, plain old stout should taste like. Wish I bought more than 2.
