About This Beer
The taproom at Wiley Roots features a patio made with recycled astroturf – from an actual football field! And when one of their limited releases drops, you’d better believe that fans battle it out like grid-iron goliaths to see who can get the first sip.
Everyone is all smiles and friendly, of course, but just beneath the surface the Astro Turf Wars are in full swing!
And no wonder — this Motueka and Mosaic Hopped Imperial IPA is worth fighting for!
Tasting Notes
Every drop explodes with citrus flavor, punctuated with flashes of pineapple, mango, and passionfruit. There’s an 8.5% ABV occupying this turf, but it’s so decked out in juicy camouflage that you won’t even notice it until it sneaks up on you!

I definitely get some stone fruit notes but overall just not that excited by this one.

Odd aftertaste that ruined this one for me; couldn’t even finish half of this one.

Very boozy, not unpleasant but wouldn’t seek out.

Danky banana and lime citrus. Unique subtle attack with a fairly pronounced bitter lingering finish.

I didn’t really love this one. It seemed dirty. No individual hop pop. Everyone likes different things though.

Heat and bubbles edition. Mango sweetness leads, some balancing hoppiness, but super smooth and sweetness reigns.

Stonefruit and citrus but a weird aftertaste.
