Why’d the EQ crew call today’s absolutely stunner “Barrel Aged Experiments In The Cosmic Kitchen”? Probably because to craft it, they threw everything but the kitchen sink into one stellar Stout! And they teamed up with friends at Mortalis and Mostra Coffee to do it!
Together, the trio started with a rich, cocoa-y base aged 30 months in Willet bourbon barrels. Next, they layered it with peanuts, marshmallow, walnuts, toasted almonds, cinnamon, and candied pecans for all the deliciousness of a candy bar. Then they took it to the tropics with caramel toasted coconut, macadamia, and Vanuatu vanilla before treating it to brunch with Mostra coffee and maple syrup.
Tasting Notes
Sumptuous notes of macadamia fudge brownies and caramelly espresso cascade through every sip. Ripples of coconut cream pie, maple, and gooey s’mores carry underneath rounded out by roasty java and vanilla oak. It all makes for a shockingly balanced swig — just mind the untraceable 17% ABV!
