About This Beer
Equilibrium and Barreled Souls got together to age a high ABV Stout in Weller and Blanton’s bourbon barrels for 22 months. After that, they blended the brew and conditioned it on marshmallows and a trio of vanillas from Madagascar, Vanuatu, and Papua New Guinea.
Tasting Notes
It’s like pouring a dark chocolate truffle right into your glass, with deeply fudgy cocoa notes and incredibly smooth vanilla nuances all wrapped up in a velvety sip. Mallow sweetness ripples over roasty malts, hints of oaky bourbon caramel, and dried cherry, making each fluffy taste super decadent.

I am a huge fan of EQ beers, used to order weekly from them. However, I feel like their beers are getting too sweet lately. This one was such the case. Typically, their Barrel aged versions are more balanced, but not this one. For me, I could not distinguish one specific flavor, rather it was just all sweet mashed together.
