Tasting Notes
This 13.9% ABV behemoth oozes aromas of dark fruits and sticky toffee. The taste overflows with rich bourbon caramel, fig, date, and honeyed oak. A whisper of rye bread flirts with candied nuts on the finish, enticing another chewy sip.

Nice and oaky. Barrel aging is well done here.

Delicious dried fruit profile with hints of caramel and bourbon on the finish. Delectable!

very very good. easy drinking. nose of toffee and caramel. taste starts dried fruit and malty sweetness evolves to vanilla warming touch of barrel.

a very sweet fig/date smell, with a slight barrel aged soy sauce aroma. taste is: alcohol, barrel flavor, caramel and fig with a hint of the charred from the barrel. It gives it, a slight bitter chocolate on the palate. when you take a bigger sip, the barrel flavor is more predominant, but, the sweetness and alcohol flavor is still a very pushy flavor.

Pours with a dark brown color, not a ton of foam. Smells like bourbon, oak, and vanilla. Medium-bodied and bubbly feel. Tastes bitter with strong malt sweetness, oak flavor, and bourbon. Well balanced and delicious, but a little intense!

I’m just not a barleywine fan. I’m not going to rate this because I’m sure it’s good for those who like the style… that’s just not me.
