A Note on This Beer

Time to put down the shovel and pick up a pint glass — you just struck hop gold!

The hop pros at Minnesota’s BlackStack Brewing teamed up with Ohio’s gold medal-studded Listermann Brewing to make today’s Business Hippies NE-style IPA!

Listermann rocks a slew of GABF and US Open Beer Championship medals across practically every style, and in their neck of the woods, they’re especially known for crafting awesome IPAs.

Hop Culture names BlackStack one of the 5 Best Breweries in the craft-soaked Twin Cities because it’s the go-to spot for hopheads with a fancy for mini golf (they actually have a whole course underneath the brewery)!

Together, these two Midwestern craft masters brewed Business Hippies with a glittering mix of Sultana, Mosaic, and Strata Hops. Every smooth, honey-like sip blasts off with potent flavors of tangy pineapple, juicy mandarin, and sweet passion fruit. A resinous current flows throughout, with a pleasant kick of evergreen pine on the finish.

It’s not often we come across some juicy gold from two of the best in the Midwest. Today, the only work you gotta do to get a taste of it is hit that “Get It” button, and we’ll handle the rest.

With Tavour, it's easy to beer it forward! Just head over to Tavour.com/gifts to send a gift box or gift card to the craft beer lover in your life. Cheers!

The piney/resin taste dominates throughout with just a hint of mandarin in the middle. I would have guess a west coast style more than NE style IPA

Super smooth and creamy INEIPA. Refreshing and tropical flavors.

Lotta malt, and not overly hoppy. A little sweeter than I’d expect. Just nice to have something that’s not hazy or a juice bomb.

Enjoyed this one. Not a WCIPA as some notes indicate but it’s more malty and some spice than other NEIPA. Bitter hops and definitely more savory than typical juicy IPA’s which was nice to taste. Solid beer especially with a good taco or Q’.

Subtle pineapple at first sip but a pretty standard IPA... Citrusy front with a pine finish.

That “Resinous Current” mentioned in the Tavour description is pretty darn distracting. Bitter, boozy and forest fauna with not much of the tropics represented here at all.

Not great. I’m gonna blame Listerman as every Blackstack I’ve had before was amazing.

More West Coastish from my standpoint. Really hoped for a more typical Blackstack hazy

Big citrusy/piney West Coast DIPA hop aroma and flavor. Not very NE at all. Lots of malty sweetness ... not bad but not to style.
