About This Beer
The clever Minnesota crew started by brewing a Lager with beechwood smoked barley malt for delicate smokey notes. Hallertau Mittelfruh Hops bring bouquets of flowers to the brew, while Triple Pearl Hops adds sweeter complexities of orange peel and pine. Lagered and aged in oak foeders, soft swirls of woody spice fuel the fire.
Tasting Notes
Clean and crisp, every sip is like a bite out of a crackly baguette baked over open flame and drizzled in orange blossom honey.

Personally I love this - gently smokey, biscuity and clean, and perfectly balanced. Delightful!

Definitely a solid beer, I imagine the smokey flavor is hard to hit right with a light beer,. but it was just enough to not be overpowering.

A slightly below average beer. No distinguishing taste that separate it from other beers

Nice smoky character .. the Foeder was totally unnecessary.

Too smoky. To be expected, sure, but it was overpowering

This is how you do a smoked beer. Very balanced with the smoke enhancing the flavor instead of clashing with it.

A little too smoky for my taste, but a good beer for novelty flavor.
