A Note on This Beer
A good French pastry shop is as close to Nirvana as most sweet-toothed foodies will ever come.
It’s hard to argue with shelf after shelf of fluffy sponge cakes topped with crumbled nuts and gooey chocolate, all of it covered with rich, vanilla-infused Chantilly Cream frosting. Even the very best stateside bakeries don’t quite measure up!
Fortunately for us sweet-toothed craft fans, the crew at Nebraska’s White Elm Brewing captured the flavors and aromas of a Parisian pastry shop in their Chantilly Cake Imperial Stout.
To create it, they first crafted a rich Stout replete with flavors of chocolate and espresso. Then, they added cacao nibs to amp up the fudge factor, a ribbon of creamy-smooth vanilla, a sprinkle of tropical coconut, and topped it off with decadent macadamia nuts.
Finally, they imbued the brew with real marshmallows for a thick, chewy mouthfeel.
With a can or two of Chantilly Cake in the fridge, you can take your tastebuds on a French vacation anytime you like. Tell ‘em to pack their bags.
*HEADS UP from the brewers — always chill before opening to avoid any sticky spillovers! White Elm intentionally fills all their cans to the brim and highly carbonates them for your enjoyment.
