A Note on This Beer
Plan Bee’s Currant (Black Wax) is a sumptuous Wild Ale powered by over 400 lbs of locally-grown black currants! The brewers also age it in oak to round out the tangy-sweet juice with nuances of woody vanilla and a smooth, lightly funky body.
This batch has been rated a whopping 4.43 by Tavour members. So we ran back begging for the few additional cases that we could get.
Its not a coincidence that this wild ale is kicking off 2022 on the app.
“Wooo! Dry as a bone and pretty funky on the nose. The currant is more vinous than jammy, but overall this is a bangin’ Wild Ale.” @Andy A., local craft fan
Every sip displays why Northeast craft fans clamor for Plan Bee’s highly limited batches. Not to mention why USA Today praised the brewers for offering as close to “a sense of New York's terroir that you can find in the market.”
It’s a delectable expression of Hudson Valley nature! Or, to channel @Andy A., one “bangin’ Wild Ale.”
