A Note on This Beer
Kush-tastic Flavors: Earthy aromas of cannabis billow from this juicy pour. Sweet guava nectar mingles with white grapefruit, before fading to lip-smacking notes of resinous pine. High on Hops: Brewed with Simcoe, Amarillo, and Chinook Hops, then double dry-hopped with more Simcoe and Chinook, plus a hit of Vic Secret and Mosaic.
Hop-obsessed beer nerds love to use the word “dank” to talk about IPAs. Funnily enough, cannabis connoisseurs also use “dank” to describe really good marijuana.
That’s because hops and reefer both belong to the same plant family. Without getting too technical, that means they share very similar oil compounds — a.k.a., the sticky stuff that makes hopbombs like Daaank Daniel smell and taste like something out of Snoop Dogg’s cookbook!
This heavily hopped Hazy Pale Ale boasts some serious ganja greatness, because the brewers at Heist pack it with some of the dopest hops around. Those hops meld fruity citrus and green, grassy flavors into a crusher that @Mike H. says made him feel like “I am drinking weed!”
Of course, you don’t need to smoke dope to catch a dank vibe. When you’re sippin’ some Daaank Daniel, it’s all about having a good time.
