That’s the kind of cutting-edge humor my dad used to regale me with. And, I’m not alone — dads everywhere seem to love cheesy jokes.

That’s certainly the case at Minnesota’s BlackStack Brewing. The whole Johnson family founded this operation, and I’m guessing sons Murphy and Cooper have heard their share of corny puns from their dad, Scott. So, a few years ago, they brewed their pop a birthday beer and called it Dad Jokes.

They expected to hear a few one-liners when they released it, but they weren’t prepared for the overwhelming fan response! According to Scott:

“We had calls from people all over the country asking if we could ship them beer. They wanted it for their dads. We had to say ‘no’ and explain that it’s just for the Twin Cities.”

Murphy and Cooper knew they’d created a hit, so they decided to release it again the next year, on Father’s Day. Now, it’s an annual tradition! And, for this year’s release, they decided to take it up a notch with Double Dry-Hopped Dad Jokes!
