A Note on This Beer
In my opinion, North Carolina’s Resident Culture should be called “Resident Awesome.” Some of the biggest publications in the country can't stop raving about their fantastic beers!
For example:
- Forbes declares that they’ve “quickly become one of the nation’s elite breweries!”
- Thrillist calls them one of the 10 Best Breweries in Charlotte (a.k.a. Beer City, USA)!
- Craft Beer & Brewing named them a Breakout Brewery when they were less than 2 years old!
So, when I got a hold of their newest juicy Double, Electric War, I knew I had to share it with y’all!
It shines with the tropical flavors of a new hop variety from New Zealand: Pacific Sunrise! To compliment these rare and exotic cones, the brewers heavily dry-hopped with Nelson Sauvin, Galaxy, and hand-selected Citra Hops, for a grand-total of 10lbs of hops per barrel!
After teasing your nose with its aroma of dank pine resin and drippy peaches, the soft, full-bodied mouthfeel wraps your tongue in flavors of sweet, ripe mangoes, succulent pineapples, and juicy tangerines — all from heaps of hops.
It sips down incredibly smooth and easy, despite its massive 9% ABV. Craft fans like @Brice J. can’t get enough of this 4.26-rated Hazy, declaring, “Dang. This one pops!”
Unfortunately, this is one poppin’ brew you can’t find outside of North Carolina. So, if you want to dive into RC’s juicy awesomeness — and try some brand-new hops from Kiwi country — now’s your chance!
