About This Beer
Craft fans know that Newgrass Brewing’s flagship New England-style DIPA is crushable, anytime hop juice.
The brewers created this refresher by treating the creamy wheat and oat base to a round of Citra and Mosaic in the whirlpool, then following it up with a double dry hopping of Citra, Mosaic, and El Dorado.
Tasting Notes
When you pour a pint of Fiddler’s Nightmare, citrus, stone fruit, and overripe melon come bounding out. Subtler notes of flowers and pine play a supporting role.
It swells with the light malty sweetness of toast and marmalade. Lemon and grapefruit keep it bright, alongside peach, nectarine, and hints of dankly tropical passionfruit. The lingering taste of zest, resin, and florals begs another sip.
And this well-balanced brew sports a surprising 9.5% ABV behind all that juice.
