A Note on This Beer
Oh no they didn’t! Mother Earth Brew Co. took their mouth-watering peanut butter Stout and aged it in Bourbon barrels! But hold on, we’re not done yet -- their Four Seasons Winter (2015) has been cellared for over two years to achieve dreamlike levels of smoothness!
The dessert-loving dark beer community rates this Barrel-Aged Stout a 4.16 on BeerAdvocate and 4.03 on Untappd. Fans are impressed by its complex flavor profile of real peanut butter accentuated by a nutty, roasty, caramelly malt bill. The Bourbon barrels enhance it even further, soaking this Stout in rich wood tannins and spicy spirits. Over time the boozy heat mellows to satiny smoothness, hints of earthiness are unveiled, and the wood from the barrels draws out vanilla notes for a peanut butter pie à la mode-like drinking experience.
Mother Earth captured the Tavour community’s heart with their Sin Tax Imperial Peanut Butter Stout, which earned a stellar 4.0 rating among members! With over two years of celleraring, Four Seasons Winter 2015 reaches new depths of silky caramel sweetness, akin to a boozy, chocolate, peanut butter milkshake…
