A Note on This Beer

Until I became a parent, I never knew how much my own parents sacrificed!

So, Mom and Dad, I’d like to dedicate this beer to you — and every other craft fan who goes the extra mile for the ones they love.

Go Ask Your Father is a delectable way to treat yourself after you’ve finally tucked the little ones in for the night. Casita Brewing crafted this succulent Sour with Pilsner Malt and wheat, then stuffed it with juicy pineapples and oranges, sweet cherries, soft marshmallows, and creamy coconut.

Each nectarous sip swells with tropical fruit flavor, swirls of coconut, and waves of marshmallow cream! And, you don’t have to have kids to enjoy it — it’s fit for folks with fur-babies, too.

Personally, I can’t wait to crack it open in the kitchen after dark and enjoy the sweetness of a few stolen moments away.

But, I’ll have to stash a few cans aside, first — this limited release is only available at Casita’s North Carolina taproom or here on Tavour!

Not bad, but there are other similar sours that do about the same thing better. Tasty if nothing else is available.

This image all the right components of a fruited sour. Tart on the front and fluffy on the backend with fruit filling up the middle. The pineapple came through strong and the rest of the fruit added an amazing tropical balance to the overall flavor. Would definitely drink again.

Tastes just like a fruited sour ale should taste. It’s sweet and tart. With pineapple, coconut, marshmallow notes at the end just like an Ambrosia

Almost like my daughter's ambrosia! Sour (of the cream) up front followed by fruit and marshmallows on the back end. Delicious with a pre-Memorial Day burger! And, thanks to all who have and will make the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

Fruity and Sticky, the Orange, Cherry and Marshmallows came through while the Pineapple and Coconut stayed far behind and almost non existent. Not what I was expecting but wasn’t bad at all.

Pretty disappointed with how this drink actually ended up tasting. All the ingredients made me so excited for this. It ends up tasting like a cheap rum punch from your local bar but with a lower alcohol content and not anywhere near as sweet as your local bar could probably make it.

Very tasty and refreshing. I was not expecting it to taste like a cider, but I think this will wow the non-beer drinkers in your life.

This is not for those that like strong beers yes it says all the tasting notes to the ambrosia it’s exactly that fermented fruit. My husbands interpretation is the flavor of marinated thanga ! It was not the business for our taste buds .

Ordered from Tavour in 16oz cans, chilled, and poured into a hurricane glass. Look: Pours a deep orange with a hint of red, small white finger-sized head that disappeared quickly and left no lacing or foam. Smell: Pineapple, cherry, and sweet toasted coconut and marshmallow up front, and there is almost a graham cracker sort of aroma on the end. Taste: Pineapple up front, followed by light cherry note, malty wheat that carries a while, citrus that hangs with the malt, super light marshmallow and super light toasted coconut, but that is hard to get. No booze for an 8%, but if you chew on it, we get some booze on the backend. No bittering and no hop presence. Feel: Light body beer, refreshing. Light tickle of carbonation that didn’t hang long. Overall this is exactly what they said on the can. Ambrosia sour, refreshing ambrosia with no real heavy sour presence. It is hot as we write this review and refreshing as they come for a wheat beer. I know they say kettle sour, but this is more of a Berliner. Fun beer, we have another one and will gladly have another. Cheers!

For an ambrosia sour, I really expected way more marshmallow and coconut. Still delicious, way more milder than I expected. Sticker is being saved for sure.

I’m glad I added this drink to the many I’ve already collected. This beer is extremely tasty and full of flavor from beginning down to the very last drop. My only regret is, I didn’t order more.

agree with other reviews that it’s just ok. it’s a nice sour but there’s something in there that ruins it and I’m not sure what it is.

Excellent capture of all the flavors of ambrosia, some of which are difficult to capture in a beer. Great aroma of pineapple, citrus, cherry and coconut. Pleasant tartness without being overly sour.

Pretty tasty, but I really taste cherry over everything else. More pineapple, or less cherry may have been the way to go. Pretty sweet, for a sour, but that's nice sometimes.
