For the uninitiated, the multi World Beer Cup medalists at Gigantic Brewing partnered up with Hellboy creator Mike Mignola and Dark Horse Comics to create a one-off beer series for the 25th Anniversary of the original Hellboy comics.

These 6 unique beers showcase 6 different complex styles. After uber-small individual releases, the lineup is now complete in this highly-limited collector's edition box set.

Each tasty Hellboy brew comes with its own custom magnet and 6x9 print, not offered during their individual runs. But only 666 boxes exist, so you better grab yours fast!

For anyone wondering — no, this incredible collection isn’t coming ‘round again. I already asked. So savor each sip, throw a Hellboy-themed tasting party, and take a bunch of photos to commemorate your participation in craft history.

Here’s the breakdown of this totally badass collection:

Hellboy – Maple Syrup Pancake Beer - 6.66% ABV

In the original comics, Hellboy tries pancakes for the first time, and the other demons know they’ve lost him forever. “He has tasted the pancake. He will never come back to us now.”

One sip of this decadent breakfast-inspired Brown Ale, and you’ll relate. The brewers loaded it with ‘ridiculous amounts’ of pure maple syrup and used bready English and German Malts, along with a heap of flaked oats, to capture a fluffy pancake-like mouthfeel.

Liz Sherman – Mole Chili Stout - 6.66% ABV

The real Liz Sherman is a nice-looking person with a fiery dark side — she can literally conjure flames with her hands. The Dessert Stout version is liquid chocolate with its own fiery kick.

Liz pours thick as night, wafting aromas of Mexican Hot Chocolate. Each sip is like sipping melted dark fudge, sprinkled with fresh-ground chili pepper. A drizzle of caramel brings Liz full circle in a subtle, sweet finish.

Johann Kraus – Citrus Wit - 6.66% ABV

Unlike the disembodied spirit it’s named after, Johann Kraus the beer is a surprisingly full-bodied Belgian-style Wit!

Crisp and bursting with tangy citrus, each sip of Johann blesses the palate with orange and lemon flavors, sprinkled with coriander and nutmeg. Freshly cut lemongrass and florals make for a smooth finish.

Abe Sapien – Indigo Blue Pale Ale - 6.66% ABV

It’s blue! And no, I’m not just talking about the amphibious comic book character. The brewers infuse this Pale Ale with natural indigo for a full aquamarine experience while you crush those bright citrus flavors with berry bursts.

*Don’t be alarmed if it doesn’t pour blue right away — wait a moment, and it’ll transform right before your eyes!

Blood Queen – Cranberry Yuzu Sour - 6.66% ABV

Behold the Blood Queen, packed with the rarely-seen power of yuzu! This Japanese fruit is highly aromatic and tastes like a grapefruit-lime union. A hefty dose of cranberries along with the yuzu gives this Sour its reddish-orange tint.

Each mouthful is drenched in pleasantly tart berry-citrus juice, rounded out with surprising touches of pine. Don’t tell Dark Horse, but each sip convinces me this beer is even more bewitching than the original Blood Queen!

Trevor Bruttenholm – British Barleywine - 9.99% ABV

The only Hellboy brew to stand tall at 9.99% ABV, Trevor Bruttenholm is also the only one Gigantic recommends cellaring. Essences of toffee, caramel, dark plum, and cherry will deepen and grow even more silky-smooth over time. This deep brown beauty serves as a fitting bookend to the series!
