A Note on This Beer

The folks at Equilibrium brewed today’s succulent Hazy with 100% Lupomax Hops!

Look, I typically avoid math like the plague, but 100% ultra-potent hops with super concentrated amounts of lupulin –– the stuff that packs the tropical aroma in hops –– that’s gotta be over 100% hop juice flavor!

Heaps of Lupomax Citra, Lupomax Mosaic, Lupomax Idaho 7, and Lupomax Sabro went into today’s brew for enormous aromas of pineapple, citrus, and a bit of herb. Called Hyla Versicolor, this juicebomb hits the full spectrum of hazy nectar!

Big bursts of ripe melon and succulent tangerine splash across the palate with each smooth sip. Bright berries, drippy papaya, and luscious coconut carry underneath until a refreshing pine finish — with no trace of the 8.5% ABV!

And it comes from the crew at Equilibrium Brewing, MIT graduates who apply literal hop science to all their NEIPAs. Not only that, but they collabed with Horus Aged Ales to craft it!

So we’ll balanced! Bright and crisp with a super mouthfeel and finish. Go get some!

Not a big fan of this one which surprises me, since equilibrium beers are usually solid. Did I get a bad can? Starts off bright, citrusy melon but then a bitter funk follows that ruins the aftertaste for me.

this is a super juicy and hazy IPA which is what I LOVE. It’s not over hopped and the flavor just melts in your mouth as you drink it. I never rate IPAs this high but it really deserves 5/5.
