A Note on This Beer
We have less than 30 cases of today’s fancy, barrel-aged, mixed-fermentation Farmhouse Ale made with cherry juice and Leon Millot grapes!
- Saison and Wild Ale fans will be extra stoked because it comes from the newest Farmhouse Ale specialists to join us at Tavour, Maine’s Oxbow Brewing.
- Hop Culture raves about how Oxbow have established themselves as one of the most highly regarded and well-respected producers [of Farmhouse Ales] not just in the state, but their whole region!”
- Craft beer seldom sees Leon Millot wine grapes. WorldsBestWines.eu describes them as earthy, purple fruits, with woody, chocolatey, and barny notes.
If you’re a Farmhouse fan like us, the barny part is what really gets the motor running — we crave the funk, and this brew delivers!
And, even if you’ve had the pleasure of tasting a rare Leon Millot-infused Farmhouse Ale before, we’ll bet you haven’t had one that the brewers also blend with cherry juice. Oaky, fruited, vinous, and funky — Kriekalore 2019 is one of the most complex Krieks we’ve tried.
Tasting it with a friend makes for a wonderful conversation starter. Careful, it can spiral into an in-depth discussion of the endless flavors that unravel as you sip your way to the bottom of the bottle.

Really enjoyed this one! Nice fruity flavor, not too beer-y

Very tart and sour, and funky. Tastes vaguely of cherry. Tartness transitions to the depth of funkiness which lingers on the palate.

An expertly crafted sour farmhouse. Perfect balance of funk, sour, and fruit. This is a delectable, truly top rate beer.

Delicious! Very cherry; very kriek. Tart, light, fresh, flavorful. I could drain the entire bottle in minutes but the ABV is 8% - dangerous!
