About This Beer
For ModLabs, the innovative crew at Modist Brewing joined forces with the classic beer style experts at Bauhaus Brew Labs. They started with a malty base for bready notes swirled with dark beer flavors - chocolate, coffee, and caramel. Then, they kettle hopped the brew with Bravo, Saphir, Citra Cryo, and Sabro before lagering in oak foeders for even more nuance.
Tasting Notes
Rich currents of cocoa and coffee course through each smooth sip. Soft pine, light citrus, and a subtle coconut cream carry underneath before a crisp, clean finish.

didn’t pick up on any of the oak aged notes, but a great beer nonetheless. nice rounded notes of chocolate, caramel, and malt with a touch of hops to remind you that beer should taste like beer.

this was a fantastic beer. Roasted malt flavors with a touch of smokiness dominant this light, crisp and easy drinking beer. This is a desert island beer

Dark Lager, my favorite style! This one is excellent! Hearty, Roasty, Smokey & Rich, yet highly crushable.

Very complex dark lager. Hints of caramel and maybe even a little smoke. The oak aging just adds even more awesomeness.
