A Note on This Beer
I’m starting to think the World Beer Cup Gold Medalists at Logsdon secretly have Bill Nye the Science Guy working for them.
Either him, or some other super-smart science guy (is Einstein alive?!). I’ve suspected it for a while now, because how else would those Southern Washington brewers know how to coax such quenching and tangy flavors from hops, grains, and yeast cultures?
You’ll know what I mean once you get a sip of today’s Natural Selection.
This Saison is refreshingly tart and drips with citrus, but there’s not a drop of fruit in it! Dry spice and a touch of earthy funk on the finish will make you really think there’s some kind of tasty science sorcery at play.
While they firmly deny having a secret, world-class scientist in their brewing stable, Logsdon did say they loaded up a mixed-culture blend of lactobacillus, brettanomyces, and saccharomyces and let it ferment in oak foeders. Sounds like science talk to me!
I know they’re trying to hide their brewing brainiac because they only made 200 cases of this mouthwatering 8.3% ABV sipper. And then they only let me have 30 cases for Tavour!
And Tavour’s the only way to get it outside the Pacific Northwest! So grab your stash now and sip back some top-secret science.
This beer is too new for ratings!
Tavour strictly supports independent beer. Logsdon Farmhouse Ales is certified independent by the Brewers Association
