A Note on This Beer
Since they opened in 2015, the brewers at Brick & Feather have carved out a space of their own in the crowded Massachusetts craft scene — one small, 7-barrel batch at a time.
Fans rate ALL of their Hazy IPAs 4+ on UT. And, today’s No Use For Smugglers won Best IPA of Western Massachusetts during the Massachusetts Beer Bro’s Blind Tasting Tournament of 48 of the highest-rated IPAs from around the state.
To craft it, the two person brew crew started with a classic Pilsner malt blend, imparting a silky-smooth backbone that showcases the vivid hop flavors. Citra, Amarillo, Cascade, and Mosaic Hops create juicy orange, glowing peach, and bright lemon-lime notes that meld together into a lovely fruity union. A trace of dank earthiness flows in on the finish.
Sippers absolutely love No Use For Smugglers, rating it an impressive 4.24 on UT, and calling it a perfect hopbomb:
“Damn, this is good!” @Jason S.
“Booooom! This is a picture perfect DIPA.” @Rob C.
“Frickin’ masterpiece.” @Alex
It’s a lush and extremely juicy example of what this wee but mighty crew can do. Ready to be one of the first craft heads outside of Massachusetts to snag a can of their sought-after hopbombs?
