About This Beer
To craft it, the Casita crew started with a rich, chewy base aged 12 months in ex-Pedro Ximenez casks previously used to finish Jim Beam bourbon. Then they transferred some to Blanton’s bourbon barrels and the rest to apple brandy barrels and left it to age an additional 20 months before blending it all into one stunning brew.
Tasting Notes
Every quaff is sweet, complex, and unbelievably decadent. Imagine sipping a glass of juicy red wine alongside some sumptuous apple cinnamon bread pudding drizzled in whiskey caramel and you have a decent idea what’s in store. Nuances of jammy dark fruit, toffee, and vanilla oak carry throughout, none of it giving any hint of the 14% ABV.
