About This Beer
To craft One Trick Penguin, the team at Logsdon actually blended four different brews. They started with three different Farmhouse Ales — one refermented with Brett and plums, one refermented on Pinot Noir grapes, and one refermented on Jubileum cherries. Then they added just a touch of a Belgian-style Golden Ale to lighten the acidity.
Tasting Notes
The final result is nothing short of a masterpiece. On the sip, notes of plum and cherry slide down the palate like a penguin sledding on an icy hill. A funky barnyard complexity with chamomile and red wine nuances folds into a pleasing moderate tanginess on the finish.
