About This Beer
Casita brews Querido Y Perdido annually to raise money for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The crew brews it with heaping additions of cocoa nibs, vanilla beans, cinnamon, and chipotle peppers for opulent currents of Mayan chocolate.
Tasting Notes
Each sip enraptures the palate with rich chocolate ganache swirled with horchata. Delicate coffee bitterness plays in the background, while cinnamon and chipotle peppers deliver a gentle flash of heat on the finish.

Really unique! Definitely try this if you like stouts

Love this one! Another NON barrel aged stout that had great flavors. Smell was roast, chocolate, cinnamon and peppers. Taste matched and the vanilla came out when it warmed, but the heat from the peppers was great! Full body with a thick slick feel.

Great tiny kick at the end of the taste.

Good but too much spice.

Nice and smooth with a good kick of heat

Heavy beer... Love chocolate and chiles, and there is plenty of heat here. Still can't knock the late Cocoa Mole by New Belgium out of my top spot.

Smooth and roasty with bitter chocolate. I am a fan of the cinnamon and chilies additions, adding mild heat. There’s also a black licorice flavor that comes through. A unique and complex brew.

This beer is incredible. The dark silky flavor you’d expect from an imperial, but a spicy finish that’s so tasty. Especially when you do fresh baked chocolate chip cookies in it! The fact that proceeds go to an amazing cause...and I’m a lifer.

Great flavors, but chilies and heat are a little overpowering, but tasty nonetheless, drinkers lighter than the abv would suggest.

A sippable dessert beer. Like a dark chocolate bar with jalapeno.

This was...I dunno. The Stout was good, a bit cinnamon roll-ish. But the spiciness hits at the end of the first sip and kinda lingers. It doesn’t really add anything, but also doesn’t take anything away. It’s a good level of spice, but not for everybody.

You feel the heat of each sip in the back of your throat. Truly surprised this carried some type of heat to it.

Think I got a bad can so very hard to truly rate. Had some off flavors as if it had spoiled BUT even though I couldn’t enjoy it fully I will say the heat that I enjoyed was amazing! I love spiced (chiles) beers. So I’ll give a five for the heat. Can’t really knock em down for the can spoiling. Things happen when stuff is shipped or maybe something got into the can while they were filling. It is what it is.

Nice heat!

At first it just seemed complex. My wife had me blind calling out what I could taste. Being a Chile head, the subtle Chile flavor escaped me. Once I let it warm up a bit, the flavors were super obvious and blended nicely. This is a great beer.

Didn’t enjoy it at first but the taste settled and I enjoyed it. An acquired taste halfway through the can.

Super boozy at first. I had chilled this beer but I think it’s
better at room temperature. Enjoyable taste.

Not much heat, but the other flavors pop
4.5
Definitely a Mexican molé-inspired beer. Strong cinnamon that mellows out into a smooth, but slight, chili heat.

Nice flavor
