About This Beer
Much like saber-toothed animals of all kinds, the noble American Amber Ale has all but vanished from the craft landscape. Fortunately, they’re not quite extinct — a few breweries still craft these delightful expressions of malt and hops!
Like Smog City and their beloved Sabre-Toothed Squirrel. One sip, and you might wonder why this formerly dominant style is so hard to find these days!
Tasting Notes
The So-Cal crew expertly offset resinous hops with plenty of malts, for flavors of toffee and biscuit that balance beautifully against hoppy notes of resinous pine and pithy citrus. On the finish, you’ll unearth nuances of bread crust and cut grass.
