A Note on This Beer
I freakin’ LOVE tequila. Love it! When it comes to booze, me and Lady Agave have been going steady for years.
The only problem is, as George Carlin famously put it, “One tequila, two tequila, three tequila, FLOOR!”
That’s not an issue with today’s Sobremesa Tequila Barrel-Aged Imperial Pale Ale from Copper Kettle.
Brewed with fresh lime zest and Agave syrup, this delightfully refreshing brew tastes like a scratch-made margarita, but without the next morning’s ‘tequila headache.’
A big squeeze of citrus aroma and a whiff of Agave billow from the pour. Tart lime zest is balanced by subtle sweetness from the agave syrup, while elevating the Tequila notes from barrel-aging to complete the cocktail illusion.
So, next time you and a few friends are lounging around on a sunny afternoon, you don’t have to break out the blender for a round of Margs. You can grab yourself a can of this zesty brew and find out for yourself why barrels aren’t just for Sours and Stouts.
*If you ARE looking to get wild, take it from me — this stuff makes a GREAT chaser.
