A Note on This Beer
When Gozer the Gozerian demands that the rag tag gang of Ghostbusters “Choose the Form Of [their] Destructor,” the lovably clumsy Ray can’t help himself. He thinks of something immediately: “I didn’t mean to, it just… popped in there!”
… then a skyscraper sized Stay Puft Marshmallow Man terrorizes New York City!
Luckily, today’s brew comes in peace… but it IS packed with enough marshmallow, granola, and milk sugar to get a whole metropolis sticky! Drekker’s “destructor” is less a 100-foot marshmallow and more their Whiskey Barrel-aged Imperial Pastry Stout!
Like Zuul itself, this base brew sat dormant, awaiting an opportunity to emerge. The brewers aged it in 4 different Whiskey barrels over the course of 12 months: Elijah Craig Bourbon, Willet Rye, Tattersall Rye, and Heaven Hill Bourbon.
The use of Bourbon and Rye barrels creates luxurious swirls of rich, creamy caramel, hints of charred oak, and smooth vanilla, blending together like a gatekeeper to its key master. It’s a far flung cast of complex flavor!
Drekker brews are always crazy good and we know it; they’re fresh off of winning 4 medals at the 2020 Craft Beer Awards. So, if there’s something strange going on in your beer fridge (ahem, it’s empty)... who ya gonna call?
