A Note on This Beer

There’s a French bakery around the corner from my house. Every morning, the pungent scents of cinnamon and sugar waft from its windows, teasing me with sweet temptation.

Try as I might, I can’t resist their giant pecan and caramel-drizzled cinnamon rolls. One bite is pure nirvana!

So, when The Brewing Projekt released their new Sticky Icky Imperial Stout, I knew its dessert-inspired deliciousness was right up my alley!

Those craft confectioners stuffed this sumptuous sipper with butter pecans, salted caramel, cinnamon, and milk sugar. Crack open the can, and treat yourself to the scent of freshly brewed coffee with caramel syrup. Take a sip, and envelop your tongue in notes of ooey-gooey sticky buns with dark chocolate filling, drizzled with toffee and a sprinkle of cinnamon.

To top it off, this brew’s got one thing my favorite rolls don’t — an 11.1% ABV!

I can’t wait to pour it into a glass after dinner, then dive headfirst into its decadent depths! But, since The Brewing Projekt’s bodacious sippers rarely leave the midwest, I’m hoppin’ on it quicker than you can say order up!

lots of toffee and cinnamon make this both complex and on the sweeter side. it’s what it says it is- nothing more nothing less. enjoyed it, but would likely pass for a more rich stout and chocolate profile.

Solid stout, definitely has a complex mix. A bit on the sweet side for me. Good flavor definitely fulfills any sweet tooth you might have. Mostly a one sided brew though. With time on the tongue you can unwind all the particular flavors.

Holy moly this beer is amazing. smells amazing and u can definitely taste the maple in it. I wish I bought more and make a beer shake out of it with vanilla ice cream

I was shocked at first by the lack of carbonation but the taste and after taste is awesome. the scent is great. like a great dessert in a cup. i want more.

This brewery delivered their promise of EVERY flavor note listed, and did it in the exact perfect balance for an ideal flavor. I have to say that I was not expecting much, since I have tried so many pastry stouts on Tavor at this point and have so many untouchable favorites that new brews can't compete with... perhaps it was the can art that threw me off? But anyway, once I tried it, I was in heaven. The butter pecan & caramel is the best part. I felt like I was eating a boozy bowl of butter pecan ice cream drizzled with caramel and sprinkled with cinnamon. The milk sugar adds a creamy ice cream flavor to it, which I would love for all pastry stouts to include and feel like I'm spoiled for life now. Perfect, perfect, perfect. Wish I could give more than 5 stars. Please make more of these with the milk sugar and caramel! The possibilities are endless, and I'd love to try this without cinnamon for a different experience too :)

it tastes exactly like as the flavor described. it's a bit more on the thick syrupy side for a beer but it was great. sad we didn't buy more. this is the beer I want to be drinking while passing out Halloween candy. perfect fall beer

Every flavor note listed came thru! Amazing. It was rich & thick, poured beautifully. If you're a huge pecan fan, bring this one to almost room temp, you can still taste all the other notes, but the pecans definitely become the dominant flavor.

It was okay. It was too much pecan flavoring and overall had a weird aftertaste. I wouldn’t drink more than one.

one of the best beers I’ve had from 3 crates! delicious milk stout you can taste all the flavors and I wish they made it in more than 12oz cans. definitely rebuying this!

Drank a few sips and had to throw the rest out. It tastes like the flavors described but it’s SO sweet that it tasted like straight syrup. Just couldn’t enjoy it.
