About This Beer
This burly brew is a collaboration between the clever crew at Weathered Souls and their neighbors at Still Austin Whiskey. The brewers crafted a cocoa-y Imperial Stout base and aged it for more than 26 months in a selection of the distillery’s premium whiskey and bourbon barrels.
Tasting Notes
Pour some of the inky sipper into a glass and a complex oaky fragrance rises up to greet you. Every ultra-smooth taste delights the senses with silky dark chocolate brownie batter, espresso, and top-shelf bourbon caramel nuances. Creaking undertones of dark fruit and wisps of vanilla peek out from behind them, completing the picture and lingering well into the finish.

Very boozy/barrel forward which I really like. Pretty simple overall, but really nice.

at $11/12oz can in a world of $30/17oz bottles, this carries its weight. Even not in that context it’s a very well executed stout. Solidly done.

This one packed a punch. Big boozy flavors abound. The overall profile could have used one more something to make it pop, but I gladly drank this whole thing.
