A Note on This Beer

Hops on Hops: 5 lbs per barrel of Nelson Sauvin, Galaxy, and Mosaic! Fresh Flavors: Gushes of white grape weave between bright bursts of tangerine and peach, leading to a pithy grapefruit finish. Mellow Mouthfeel: Flaked barley and flaked oats fluff up the base and make the brew sip down pillowy-soft!

Mountains Walking is a force to be reckoned with on the hop front, and even the nation’s brewers know it. In a VinePair brewer survey, Mountains Walking was chosen by their colleagues as one of the Best Hazy IPA Makers in America!

What’s really impressive is how the brewers keep outdoing themselves. For today’s Tin Sky DDH, they took one of their longtime favorite NEIPAs and gave it more hops and more booze!

You’ll get plenty of luscious fruit notes in this flowing haze, but good luck tasting that 8% ABV. As local fans like @Chris C. say, “Ultra smooth. Never would've guessed 8%. This is one of the best New England IPAs I’ve tasted!”

This is a top notch DDH DIPA. This beer has plenty of tropical flavor but it’s not over the top. Instead it’s waiting right behind that classic NE style IPA bite. This is so smooth that it doesn’t taste like an 8%. Mountains Walking really knows what they’re doing. I visited the brewery in person last month and was impressed by every beer I tried, as well as with their knowledgeable staff. I will buy several cans of any Mountains Walking beer ever offered here.

Tropical and pungent is accurate. Tasted less than an 8%. Would have it again but not go out of my way to seek it out.

16oz can from Tavour. Pale yellow, hazy, patchy head. Aroma is sharp, bitter hoppiness, light citrus. Taste is mostly grapefruit peel, oats adding a creamy texture and a little sweetness. Dry bitterness remains on the palate.

Bit off putting hop flavor at first. Plasticy. Mixed up some sediment and can got juicier. Slight hop burn in the back of the throat. It's been evening out as I go.
